Redland Ladies Hockey Club is based at the University of the West of England (UWE) with a good mixture of players, across a very wide age range for senior hockey (13 to 60+!) and playing ability. Home matches are played at the UWE Centre for Sport, Frenchay Campus, which boasts excellent facilities including an international standard water-based pitch - the best in Bristol. The club runs four senior league teams competing from West Premier 2A to Berkeley Divisions 1, 2 & 3. Our Masters teams (Over 45 & Over 50) compete at regional and national level. We also run a social side in the Avon Vixens competition for players not quite ready yet to play at league level.
Under the guidance of Junior Head Coach Cath Coombs the club ensures a safe environment for our many junior members (starting in Year 3) who train at Badminton School, Westbury-on-Trym. Our junior teams compete in the Avon Junior Leagues in the Under 10s, Under 12s and Under 14s competitions.
As an England Hockey Clubmark accredited club, we always welcome new players of all ages and ability and pride ourselves on providing a positive, inclusive environment for nurturing talent and producing great hockey. We've got something for everyone - join us! Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Redland Ladies Hockey Club will provide high quality sport sessions for young people and adults. This will be achieved through a progressive programme that provides recreational training and playing opportunities for all ages and abilities. The club will also provide a pathway of performance for junior players interested in competing at a local and regional level.
