Under 10s Report – Feb 2019

Published by on

The U10s finished their Avon League campaign in style yesterday with an undefeated display over the four games they played.

They started slowly against an inexperienced Chippenham side, but eventually started to put some good moves together and with a bit of tweaking of positions Emily put 2 goals in the net. A little bit of sloppy tackling let Chippenham back into the game and we conceded a goal to make the final score 2-1 – a good start.

The second game against Weston was another good team performance despite going 1-0 down early in the game. We managed to keep playing our structured game and got a goal back through Emily to make it 1-1 and then Dani finished off some good work by Lyra down the right to make the final score 2-1. Another good win.

We then had a tough game against a good Corsham team. Tom made some great tackles in defence and Betsy made some good saves to keep us in the game which was very even. We worked really hard and deserved the 0-0 draw.

Our last game against Yate was again a well-worked affair with good defensive work from Alice and Lyra, working well again on the right and scoring the only goal of the game to give us a well deserved 1-0 win.

Well done to the squad.
