Good win for Under 14s final league game

Fielding a strong side, Redland Under 14s were victorious against Clifton Robinsons on 26 January.

We had Lottie back in goal, which always makes a difference, and a squad of 14 so that we could make changes where necessary.

We started steadily and the first half was very even. We were getting closed down quickly in midfield and seemed to lack time to build any constructive attacks.

With the score at 0-0 at half time we changed a few players around and the second half was much better from a flowing and attacking perspective. Christina distributed brilliantly and linked well with Iris. The forwards worked well to find space ahead and we made many attacks into their circle. Marina scored with a reverse stick shot to finish off a good attacking movement.

We were rarely troubled in defence, but when the ball came anywhere near our circle Ella did a great job in clearing up and distributing wide.

We continued to put passes together and were rewarded with a great shot from Iris from the edge of the circle to make the score 2-0 which was the final score.

A well deserved victory to finish off our Avon League season. Well done to all the players involved with the U14s.
