Challenge final week: the final count

13 Jan 2021: Well we started all this in 2020, which was not a good year for travel, but that didn’t stop Redland Ladies starting a tour of England to raise vital funds for the hockey club and also for our chosen charity – the RSPB

We started on 1 December with the aim of covering the equivalent distance of the circumference of England – 4,775km across six weeks. Obviously, we were strictly staying within all current Covid rules.

Mission acomplished after four weeks and club members opted to carry on with Lap 2, rather than finishing early.

Now the challenge is over and our grand total distance covered was 8,395.5km

Five diferent activities were allowed, and collectively we;

cycled 3,332.7km; ran 793.1km; walked 4,215.8km; rowed 42.4km & swam 11.5km

A truly tremendous effort and fantastic achievement by Team Redland.
