Wereys march through to next round in new EH O55s cup comp
10 January 2022: The newly-formed Wereys masters Over 55s team put in a convincing 7-0 win over regional masters side LX South in Basingstoke on Jan 9th. Not knowing what to expect, and losing a couple of players to Covid, the pared down 11-strong squad gave it their all to secure an impressive win. Goals came from Petra (5, yes 5!), Cath and Elaine. They’re now waiting to hear who the opposition will be in the next round on 6th March, which is scheduled to be the semi-final. Fingers crossed for a home game.
