Junior summer sessions are back

3 June 2025: Thanks to a grant from Sport England and the National Lottery, Redland Ladies Hockey Club is once again offering free coached junior sessions this summer.
The sessions will be held at the hockey club’s home pitch at Lockleaze Sports Centre on several Mondays during July and August.
The sessions for ages 10-14 are being held on Mondays 30th June, 7th and 28th July and again on Monday 4th August. Sessions start at 6.30pm and will finish at 8.00pm. Players of all ability welcome, (boys will need to be Under 12).
Lead Junior Coach Cath Coombs says: “Thanks to Sport England we’re delighted to be able to offer these summer sessions to junior players at no charge. There’ll be skills, drills and fun games and we can provide sticks and kit. Beginners are always welcome, now’s the time to pick up a stick.”
If anyone wants more information get in touch via www.redlandladieshockey.co.uk/contact-us/
Otherwise just turn up and we’ll see you there. You will need astro shoes or trainers and ideally shin guards and a gum shield if you want to do some tackling. We can lend you a stick.
