Information for parents

Registering a Junior (Under 18)

The club encourages girls and boys from age 7 (must be Year 3) to 14 to take part and enjoy hockey.  Before your child joins the Club, they need to be registered, but you might have contacted us informally to arrange some tryout sessions. Contact out Junior Manager Cath for more information on arranging some introductory sessions [email protected]

Once you’ve decided to enrol your child, the registration process is done via this website – simply go to the front page and click the ‘New Players – Join the Club’ button. Enter the name of your child and the email address you wish us to use to contact you.  Once our Registration Officer has accepted your application you will receive an automated email with a username and a request to set up a password and complete additional information such as medical history.

Parental consent for Transportation and Photography for Under 18s

It is a requirement of club policy that parental consent is provided for transportation and photography.

By saying Yes to the Transportation question you are giving consent for your Junior Player to travel to venues for matches and training by transport provided by the club which may include travelling in other players’ private cars.

By saying Yes to the Photography question you are acknowledging that in some environments, particularly adult competition, it is impossible to control photography by external parties and that you are aware that there may be times that photographs and/or footage may be taken during matches and training sessions by approved agents and/or officers of this club. Such images shall only be used for publicity/training purposes in accordance with the Redland Ladies Hockey Club Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey Policy and you are giving consent for your Junior Player to feature in such photos/ images. You also are only granting approved agents the right to use the images resulting from such photo/film shoots. This includes any reproductions or adaptations of the images for all general purposes i.e. local newspapers, local magazines, other promotional articles (inc. flyers) and the club’s website. We never use a child’s full name, if any name at all, and our junior photo galleries appear only in the members’ section, which means you have to be signed it to be able to view them.

In order to monitor your account, log into the website using your username and password (top right) and then click on My profile from which you will be able to see all the information about your child and their membership.

If you have any questions or concerns about the registration process, please contact the Child Welfare Officer, Cath Coombs on: [email protected]
